A 2007 LA Shorts Fest Selection

REVIEW: “In one of the most heartfelt and emotional pieces of the afternoon, My Dog Chloe deals with the passing of a man’s beloved friend Chloe. Shot days after Mendelson was forced to put his ailing dog to sleep, we get the potent raw emotions, draped in personal testimony and memorable photographic stills. We immediately feel the loss of Chloe and are reminded of the strong emotional bonds between pet owners and their pets.”  — Indie Express

  1. [..YouTube..] I’m so sorry for your loss. I know what you’re going through. It’s extremely sad when you lose a pet. I love animals and I hate seeing them pass away. Time eventually heels wounds, but it doesn’t heel everything. Again, I’m very sorry for your loss.

  2. [..YouTube..] My friend just lost her cat and I was trying to find something inspirational to email her when I came across your video and now I too am crying my eyes out. What a beautiful tribute to your girl. I bet she couldnt have asked for a better earthly father and yes I do believe she’s happy, healthy & waiting for you on the other side.

  3. I had my dog Dallas,a golden retriever, for just about 16 years. He died on October 21,2011. All I can say is don’t take your pet’s time for granted, because it will bite in your ass. hard… R.I.P. Dallas

  6. [..YouTube..] Brother I really know about that ugly feeling, I Hope I don’t loose the one I have now even though we are ready to battle vs Parvo, One of his sons (my favorite one) a very obedient one and also very attached to me, got infected and in a matter of days vanished living me with an empty feeling in my life…His Father is still with me and tries real hard to make me forget the little creature, I can almost understand his feelings because he (the father) helped me to train them all…

  8. [..YouTube..] i lost my boy yesterday. we grew up together. in two months he would have seen me turn 17, and in two more he would have turned 10. his cancer came on so suddenly; three weeks ago i had no idea he wouldn’t see me through the rest of high school and childhood. he never saw me grow up fully. and i never saw him grow old, which he would have done so gracefully. i don’t know what i am without my sweet boy. i will never forget him and love him forever.

  9. I know how difficult it is to lose a wonderful dog, we lost our St. Bernard Rhone to bone cancer in Feb. 2011. Search “Remembering Rhone” on You Tube or Google to view a tribute video I made for her, she was a therapy dog and a sweet girl. Rhone, Through woods and fields we’ll walk no more But love is your pathway And Memories our lane… It’s through these happy places We’ll still walk with you each day

  12. [..YouTube..] It’s been four years since we lost Chloe, and I still miss her very much. It took awhile, but the pain did eventually subside. What remains are the memories of the wondeful times she shared with us — memories that will last forever. When we reminisce about her, we smile. About a year after Chloe died, we went to the animal shelter and adopted a great little dog named Spencer. Spencer will never replace Chloe, but he has added a lot of joy to our lives. — Braddon

  13. I know how you feel. I raised my dog from a pup. She was 12 & developed terminal cancer. She was my play mate, companion, soul mate, & my shoulder to cry on. She’d sit on my lap & snuggle up as close as she could when she felt I was sick or sad. I had to put her down last week cause I woke up 1 morning & she gagging for air. The cancer had gotten big in her throught. I cried with you when I saw your vid. Beautiful dog. God bless. Will the pain ever go away? God, it hurts so bad!

  14. @TheEbryant2008 I’ve written a story with a dog called Bear, so I’m dedacating the story to him

  15. I have a cat, she’s called Milly and she’s 16 – Had her since she was just a week old. She’s always been loving and effectionate but recently, she’s become very distant. Always hiding away… I took her for a check-up to find she has a hyper thyroid issue, which is causing her heart to race. She’s also got a tumor. It tears me apart because there is nothing more I can do for her, medication will only prolong her suffering. Its tough letting go, feeling like you could have done more…

  16. @campod3 were trying to sound like a child or something? I mean, I feel bad about a person who is losing an animal they love but you sound like an idiot or you just cant type!

  32. I agree, you can never replace ou best friends all we can do is save a life and start a new relationship. I had to put one of my dogs (Cache) to sleep December 18 2006. Needless to say that Christmas that year was not a happy one. I mourned my best friend for months and still think of him almost every day. I also talk to him as if he can hear me, it just makes me feel better. I still have my pitbull mix 12 1/2 and my golden 8 1/2 and can’t bear loosing them. I ended up getting another lap dog
